Blog..blog! It's NOT FUNNY!!

We finally got Mr. Smiley to let us know it was time to get swimmers. We were able to inseminate 3 times over the weekend! Well, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but it still counts as the weekend, right?

Today is day 4 of the 2 week wait until we find out if the "super sperm" (thats what he says he has) worked or not. Fertility friend says that we were right on the money with the chart of temps and OPKs and such, but we all know that, that doesn't always mean you get pregnant. Obviously, since this is taken us officially a year to get to this point. Granted we did have to take a few months off here and there for medical reasons, etc.

Not trying to get our hopes up or anything, but for the last few days Sheila said shes been having twinges and such going on in her uterus. Similar to the first time when she got that pelvic infection. Here we are at day 4 and so far shes not doubled over in pain...could be a good sign?? Again not trying to get our hopes up! HAHA and I quote.."there's not any pain like the first time, so I don't think I have an infection, but there is weirdness, so something is going on in there!" She also says she has pressure like she has to pee, but not really having to pee. Interesting..veryyy interesting. o.O

We shall know for sure the outcome around May 27th. Wish us luck! I just want to be done with this part of the process already!!

Sheila wants you to see this. I was hoping to be able to post this video on the actual blog, but the people blocked it from being embedded. Bummer. It'll make this blog title make more sense..

Back in the saddle again!

So here we are again! Actually back in the saddle. We've taken a few months off to collect our thoughts and stop being so discouraged over this process. Never imagined it would be a year since we first started trying, but "experts" do say it can take a year for healthy heteros to get pregnant. I know in the last post I mentioned about good news on the horizon. I waited a while to post, so people's feelings didn't get hurt and everything could be discussed before now. Anyway, we've found another donor! We're still going to use our current donor, but now hopefully by having another sample it'll help. I know wishful thinking...I think it'll also be good because then we won't really know who the biological guy is.

Sheila is currently on day 11 and according to fertility friend she should start getting ready to pop her egg around Monday. What fertility friend doesn't know is that she took Soy Isoflavenos to help aid this processes. It's like an herbal Clomid. Take 160mg for 5 days during Aunt Flo and voila! magic eggs are supposed to form! Haha yeah right, but it was worth a try.

Hmm..what else has gone on...We bought a new pack of Clear Blue Ovulation sticks and the little digital reader thing was broken! Sheila called the company and they're sending her a brand new box! It's like $40 a box, so that was really nice.

We were nominated for a Leibster Award a little while ago thanks to our our cyber friends, Jen and Meg (who are currently in the hospital having their baby!!!)
